JOB DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Setup and run extruder
- Maintain water cooling systems used throughout the extrusion line
- Use precision measuring equipment to measure the product and adjust tooling as needed
- Perform visual and manual inspections of liner and record results
- Spool finished liner onto take-up spools
- Monitor machine quality and communicate mechanical and electrical problems to the maintenance department
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Cut and dispose of scrap liner
- Knowledge of extruding tubular HDPE tubing / liner
- Minimum 1 to 2 years experience operating extruders
- Able to troubleshoot extruders
- Prep production spools for usage
- Operate liner take-up spool
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required
- Teamwork is necessary
- Clear and concise communicator (written and verbal)
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Practice good housekeeping by maintaining a clean work area
- Able to stand for long periods of time
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds.
Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety shoes, and hardhats.
Company uniforms must be worn at all times.
