Cosmetology Instructor

Location : Lehi, UT

Status : Part-time

Hours : 2 days and 2 nights a week, 2 Saturdays a month (hours may vary from this schedule)

Pay / Hourly : $23.38

SUMMARY

As a Cosmetology Instructor you will train students for employment in cosmetology, barbering, hair design, skin and nail care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Teach engaging lessons, using hands-on, skill-based competency training to the greatest extent possible.
• Develop and / or maintain lesson plans for classroom and lab activities.
• Manages, and supervises students in the classroom and on the practical floor.
• Evaluate instruction / learning by means of written, oral practical and performance tests.
• Maintains student-oriented approach, and desirable classroom conditions. Check equipment daily for hazards, ensuring it is maintained and properly repaired.
• Maintains accurate and current reports and records regarding student accountability, attendance, and performance.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• Graduation from an accredited Cosmetology School or apprenticeship
• Valid Utah State Cosmetology Instructor's License
• Minimum of three years industry experience is required
• Prior teaching experience is preferred
