COMMERCIAL HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN
SUMMARY
We are looking for GREAT people to join our TCS family! You will need experience in troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing commercial HVAC.
Along with conducting work with the highest level of professionalism and simply offer solutions to our customers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot / repair HVAC equipment in a timely and high-quality manner.
Maintain a high level of professionalism by arriving to work on time, maintaining a neat physical appearance and work vehicle in clean working order.
Present a professional, positive and helpful attitude at all times when interacting with customers and co-workers!
Organize all work detail (work performed, service recommendations, purchase order numbers for material purchased, etc.) and complete an accurate work ticket for billing & payroll purposes.
Submit accurate and complete Refrigerant Tracking Logs in a timely manner.
Exercise effective communication with the customer and co-workers by using the LINC Communication Model.
Build rapport and positive working relationships with clients, vendors, and other outside contacts.
Fully utilize technology to enhance performance (email, internet usage, VB Mobile).
You will enter the on-call rotation and will be available nights and weekends on the weeks he pulls on-call.
Demonstrate the Total Comfort Solutions values daily.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Two-Year Technical Degree from accredited HVAC institution, HVAC Certificate from accredited HVAC institution with 5 years of experience or equivalent work experience.
Great organization skills, management skills, problem solving skills, and communication skills.
Knowledge in safe work habits.
Ability to pass fit-for-duty evaluations as required for contract requirements.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENT
Industry-specific knowledge gained from working in the field :
Knowledge / experience properly using a vacuum pump and vacuum gauge.
Properly operate a recovery machine for refrigerant removal.
Knowledge / experience using the proper tools for the skill level.
Experience replacing scroll or reciprocating compressors.
Recover refrigerant from package or split HVAC systems.
Proper use of refrigerant gauges
Proper understanding of the pressure / temperature (PT) charts.
Properly evacuate an HVAC system using the correct tools.
Demonstrate proper use of a voltmeter, ohmmeter, and ammeter.
Demonstrate proper coil cleaning techniques.
Demonstrate proper technique cleaning drain pains and lines.
Successfully remove and replace condensing fan motor, blower motor, contactor.
Remove and replace a gas furnace heat exchanger with guidance.
