Accounts Payable Manager
Location : Prospect Heights, Brooklyn
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnered with an established non-profit organization to fill a temporary-to-permanent Accounts Payable Manager position.
This position requires previous supervisory experience in a high volume AP environment. If the individual performs well, there will be permanent potential for this role as well! Please note, this role requires someone to be in the office 4 days per week in Prospect Heights, BK.
Daily Responsibilities :
Managing a team of 2-3 Accounts Payable Associates
Jumping in to assist with matching invoices to purchase orders and entering into the system
Handling any escalated vendor issues in relation to payments / invoices
Analyze processed invoices to ensure transactions are properly coded and reconcile to the general ledger
Reviewing vendor contracts, making payment decisions, and negotiating new contracts when necessary
Managing the weekly payment run
Preparing AP reports requested by upper management; discussing expenses and any variances with Finance team
Managing the AP month end close
Managing any process improvement efforts by identifying areas that could run more efficiently in the AP department and writing new procedures
Education Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not mandatory
Experience Requirements :
2+ years of previous supervisory experience
Experience in a high volume AP environment
Employment Type : Contract, full-time hours. Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote)
Work hours : 9-5 pm (35 hr work week), hours can be more flexible after training period.
