We are a tax and accounting firm in search of a bright, hardworking and dedicated staff accountant to assist in bookkeeping, payroll and tax preparation.
Location : Gaithersburg, MD
Job Responsibilities :
- Tax return preparation : Data input in tax software for individual, business and trust tax returns
- Prepare tax and accounting workpapers
- Bookkeeping and account reconciliation
- Assist with payroll processing for clients
- General accounting services for clients
- Provide support to accounting and tax team
The ideal candidate has the following qualifications :
- Recent accounting grad or up to 2 years in an accounting setting. Some experience in bookkeeping and payroll related tasks is helpful.
- QuickBooks and Excel experience. Some familiarity with tax software, a plus.
- Organization skills and ability to handle and prioritize assignments.
- Strong work ethic, self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as with others.
