Retail Marketing Manager
Our client, the world's leading entertainment streaming service, is looking for a Retail Marketing Manager.
This is a 10-month on-site contract position based in Los Angeles, CA. Candidates must be able to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday. Applicants must be located in the U.S. and cannot hold H-1B visa status. The hourly rate is $79.33; benefits are available through Talent Table. There is no C2C.
The Role :
We're looking for a strategic and experienced Retail Marketing Manager to lead the retail strategy for Target and department store channels (e.g., Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom). This role will drive the development and execution of innovative, brand-aligned retail strategies while fostering strong partnerships with key retailers. The ideal candidate is passionate about entertainment, understands how to build fandoms, and has deep expertise in the retail landscape.
Key Responsibilities :
- Experience in conceptualizing, pitching, and executing a retail strategy for Target (experience in the department store channel is a plus but experience with Target is required).
- Align strategies with business objectives, category priorities, and long-term brand goals.
- Collaborate with global teams (Licensing, Product Development, Creative, Marketing, Merchandise Brand Strategy, etc.) to deliver best-in-class programs across categories including toys, collectibles, apparel, beauty, food, and beverage.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Target's Strategic Partnerships team, to unlock break-frame opportunities that meet shared business goals.
- Champion the retail strategy, vision, and messaging to ensure clear and consistent communication across internal teams and retail partners.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of and passion for Client's entertainment properties, with a creative approach to bringing them to life at retail.
- Manage multiple titles and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
- Use data and insights to formulate recommendations for future programs.
Qualifications :
7+ years of experience in retail strategy, account management, licensing, or related roles, with a strong focus on Target.Proven success in developing and executing omni-channel retail strategies that drive growth.Deep understanding of consumer trends, behavior, and global market dynamics, with the ability to scale opportunities globally.Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Strong network and established relationships within Target, with a track record of navigating complex retail organizations.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present strategies clearly and persuasively.Excellent analytical skills to track, analyze, and optimize performance.Proven leadership in managing agencies and personnel in fast-paced environments.
