This company is a manufacturer of re-sealable bags and pouches that are mostly used to package various food products.
Summary of position :
The machine operator assistant will be working with the Pouch machine operator. The machine operator assistant will perform various manual and mechanical duties to provide assistance in the set up and operation of their pouch machines.
Essential function and responsibilities :
Assist operator with the pouch machine
Correctly set up and run machine to expedite quality and run speed
Maintain production standard of quality and effective run rate
Follow material handler procedures
Maintain quality control check sheet, and production and waste reports
Continually check the quality of the pouches during the production run
Inform pouch operator of any defective material, maintenance issues and safety issues
Clean and maintain equipment for the next production run
Package finished product at one of several workstations as assigned
Quality control checks and data entry
Trash and trim removal
This role will have the ability to learn and train on operational functions throughout the plant.
Steel toes boots or shoes are required
Associate will be following similar GMPs to a food production environment, i.e. hairnets, no rings, jewelry etc...
