Job Title : Member Quality Liaison
Location : Remote (AZ Time)
Position Type : Contract to Hire
Pay Rate : $18 to $20.50 per hour
Purpose of the Job :
The Member Quality Liaison is a specialized customer service role focused on delivering excellence, privacy, and compliance within the health insurance industry.
This position involves identifying, researching, processing, and resolving customer inquiries and correspondence through various communication channels.
The role supports Utilization Management, Member Relations, and Network Management programs.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities :
- Handle a high volume of health insurance-related customer calls and correspondence daily.
- Meet performance standards for quality, quantity, and timeliness.
- Provide information about services, including contract benefits, coverage changes, eligibility, claims, programs, and provider networks.
- Coordinate with internal departments, external plans, providers, businesses, and government agencies to resolve customer inquiries.
- Document and update files and systems with relevant information.
- Maintain knowledge of systems, procedures, and manuals.
- Perform Utilization Management-related tasks such as reviewing healthcare service requests and collecting data.
- Review of healthcare service requests for completeness of information - Collection and / or transfer of non-clinical data
- Collection of defined clinical data using structured scripts or tools
- Work a full-time schedule, defined as at least 40 hours per week.
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications :
Work Experience : 1 year in claims examination, health insurance, customer service, call center, medical office, or healthcare-related field.
Education : High School Diploma or GED.
Skills & Qualifications :
- Bilingual Capability : Bilingual candidates are nice to have.
- Technical Skills : Candidates should be computer-savvy, with basic skills in Microsoft Word and the ability to multitask effectively with multiple screens.
- Customer Service Skills : The role requires clear communication, politeness, and the ability to coordinate appointments efficiently.
Knowledge of local healthcare communities and Medicare / Medicaid guidelines is beneficial but not essential.
- Soft Skills : Ideal candidates should be self-motivated, responsible, and possess strong soft skills such as effective communication and politeness.
