About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CVSICU) Job Duration : 14 weeks Shift : Rotating 7AM / 7PM (12-hour shifts) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Experience in a dedicated open-heart unit receiving patients directly from the operating room is needed.
License : RN License Certifications : BLS; Preferred : ACLS; Critical Care Certification; Trauma Course Must-Have : Current experience with recovery of post-operative cardiac surgery patients in an ICU setting;
experience with ventilators, CRRT, Swan, epicardial wires / pacemakers, vasoactive gtts titration, level 1 IABP, ECMO Job Description : Provide care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, placement of ventricular assist devices, and other complex procedures.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 1 or 1 : 2.- 36 or 48 hours per week assignments.- Alternating weekend rotation and call shifts (2 available call shifts per 6-week schedule).
- Work on holidays as needed.- Float as needed to areas of similar skill set including ICU, IMC, CVPCU.- Agency onboarding on specific dates.
Note : Ensure flexibility and adaptability to meet unit needs and provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment.
