Operating Room Nurse

Seeking FT, PT or PRN*

Surg Center of the Potomac, is seeking a motivated OR Registered Nurse to join our team. Surg Center of the Potomac a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse, operating room, provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. The RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case.

Experienced in surgical procedures in the following specialties : Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.

Qualifications :

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Currently licensed in the state. CPR required, advanced life support certification required.
• One year experience required intra-operative setting.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
• Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.

Required Skills

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum two years previous OR experience
• Current Maryland license as a Registered Nurse* Current in CPR, ACLS and PALS
• Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.
• Knowledgeable of policies and procedures specific to operating room nurse. *

Required Experience

• Experience working in an ASC is a plus.
• Must be team-oriented and patient-focused.
