About The Position
Job Title : Sterile Processing Technician Job Specialty : Sterile Processing Technician Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Night 5x8-Hour (10 : 00 PM - 6 : 30 AM) Guaranteed Hours : 40 Hours per Week Experience : 2 Years Required License : Valid State License Required Certifications : CBSPD or IAHCSMM Required Must-Have : - Inpatient, outpatient, and trauma setting experience - Sterilization, decontamination, assembly / wrap, case cart, HLD, and scrub experience - Surgery case experience in Ortho, Urology, Endo / Laparoscopic, Vascular, Thoracic, Neuro, Gyn, Bariatrics, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT, Transplant, Robotics, and Implants- Ophthalmology experience preferred Job Description : Work Monday through Friday with one rotating weekend per month, possibly more depending on staffing needs- Handle a daily caseload of 65 surgical cases and 1,200 tray volume- Participate in on-call duties twice per month, including rotating weekends- Complete a scheduled orientation of 40 hours- Use EPIC for charting and have experience utilizing SPM- Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment- Maintain compliance with COVID-19 vaccine requirements (no exemptions)- Ensure the ability to work three out of five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)- Provide references covering one year of employment within the last three yearsAll candidates are expected to float between various units within their skill set.
