Job Summary (must be willing to travel)

The Regional Maintenance Manager or Project Assistant will be supervising and coordinating the activities of housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance department to ensure environmental center compliance in accordance to Federal, State and Local ordinance, regulations and building codes.

Ensures center is maintained in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition; in good repair, free from hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating and cooling systems. Apply today!

Responsibilities

Strategically identify, target, and pre-qualify prospects for development of operations and maintenance contracts within the centers.

• Formulate successful strategies to increase maintenance activity and ensure goals are attained.
• Develop cost proposals in addition to realistic and accurate planning on construction projects.
• Serve as key point of contact with facility leadership to create effective business relationships.
• Coordinate the implementation interface with project management and facility teams.
• Maintain proficient and current computer and software application skills for team members.
• Executes the Company’s preventive maintenance program and record keeping systems to maintain the centers at its highest level of physical function.
• Works with facility teams regarding environmental services requests, infection prevention, service resolution opportunities, and other interdepartmental matters.
• Performs regular, scheduled safety inspections.
• Maintains required logs / documentation on following in accordance with the Life Safety Manual and OSHA compliance.
• Develops center profile and physical plant history by maintaining complete documentation of all maintenance activities including accurate records of all replacement parts and materials used;

Maintains records of fuel supply.

• Coordinates all related work including, but not limited to : Mows lawns with hand or power mower; Trims and edges around walks;
• flower beds, and walls using clippers and edging tools; Scatters grass seed or lawn and flower seed on bare spots; Plants seeds and bulbs, tree seedlings, and shrubbery so that resulting growth will produce attractive appearance;
• connects sprinkling equipment and water lawn and flower beds (Maintains automatic system if applicable); Sprays lawns, shrubs, and trees with fertilizers or insecticides;

Rakes and bags leaves and grass clippings; Removes snow and clears ice from sidewalks and walkways.

• Ensures maintenance processes and repairs are in accordance to Federal, State and Local ordinance, regulations and building codes.
• Maintains electrical and mechanical equipment in good working order; Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments and lubricates and cleans parts, as needed;
• Lubricates potty chairs, wheelchairs, shower chairs, wheeled Job Description Manual Geri-chairs, drug carts, etc.; Repairs outdoor chairs and benches;

Reports serious mechanical failures and problems to the Administrator.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, required.
• Five years of supervisory experience in a commercial establishment with knowledge of maintenance procedures.
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in long-term care preferred.
• Must have a reliable source of transportation and willingness to travel.
