Job Description :

We are seeking a technically-skilled and experienced Data Analyst to join our healthcare Data & Analytics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for profiling source data, ensuring data supports business and technical requirements, conducting ad hoc querying for investigations or scoping, and documenting technical requirements.

This role is essential for ensuring efficient delivery of ETL code and analytical deliverables, ultimately supporting the expansion of our data warehouse and analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities :

  • Profile source data via SQL queries to ensure it meets business and technical requirements.
  • Conduct ad hoc querying of data for investigations, troubleshooting, or project scoping.
  • Document technical requirements such as source-to-targets or technical specifications for data integration and reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with ETL developers to ensure data is structured appropriately for reporting purposes.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into effective data solutions for actionable insights.
  • Assist in the development of data models and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources, structures, and processes.
  • Participate in data validation and testing activities to ensure data quality and reliability.
  • Provide support to ETL developers by preparing data sets and performing data analysis as needed.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and backlog grooming.
  • Continuously monitor data integrity and work to resolve any data quality issues.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in healthcare data analytics and data management.

Experience Required :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a data analyst, preferably within a delivery-driven and analytics-focused environment.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, including knowledge of advanced SQL, such as window functions and common table expressions (CTEs).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications for data warehousing developers.
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations and industry trends.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Experience Preferred :

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Python, and C#.
  • Relevant certifications in data analytics, project management, or related fields.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as PowerBI.
  • Expertise in various healthcare data domains, such as provider, patient, encounter, procedure, claims, diagnosis, and clinician shift
  • Experience monitoring data quality or production support dashboards to proactively react to changes or issues in analytic solutions.
