This is an agile / hybrid position to be based out of the Austin office. Travel within state of Texas required. Approximately 65% travel required.

The Training and Development Consultant role makes an impact on employment liability risk control through the facilitation of leadership and professional development training to our clients.
Our pooling clients are primarily community centers and water districts on the state of Texas. This position collaborates closely with Program Management, Loss Control and internal and external Human Resource teams to improve organization effectiveness.
PRIMARY PURPOSE : To consult Sedgwick Pooling clients in assessing, developing, and delivering training and creation of associated material to mitigate associated risks.
To tailor materials and training based on clients’ needs and goals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES Partners with new and existing clients in assessing their business training needs.
Identifies present and future training opportunities and advises clients on recommendations. Develops and designs trainings and associated materials for management / leadership training for Sedgwick’s Pooling’s clients which meet ADDIE standards of instructional design.
Delivers client leadership and management training through instructor-led live sessions and webinars. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of curriculum by deploying measurement tools that tracks outcomes to ensure alignment of material being presented.
Schedules and coordinates duties associated with regularly scheduled sessions as well ad-hoc requests. Markets training products and services to Pooling Clients.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES Performs other duties as assigned. Travels as required (up to 65%). QUALIFICATIONS Education & Licensing Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience Six (6) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Minimum of two (2) years training or directly related experience required to include classroom and webinar facilitation.
Minimum of two (2) years equivalent knowledge of state and federal employment law is highly preferred. Skills & Knowledge Ability to create compelling PowerPoint presentations, with instructional handouts based on existing and researched topics, driven by member need Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to work under pressure to meet billable requirements.
