Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Associate Director of Medical Communications to join our team. The ADMC will be instrumental in supporting the Director of Client Services and leading the development and creation of high-quality content across various platforms.

The individual in this role will be creating roughly 75% of all written content for Client projects and most of the day-to-day will be spent writing, editing, and managing other content creation tasks.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Support the Director of Client Services in shaping Client content strategy while assisting in strategic planning and execution of communication objectives to key audiences.
  • Lead the development of engaging, informative, and highly technical content tailored to eye care professionals by leveraging subject matter expertise across a variety of content formats and deliverables.
  • Write in-depth lengthy articles, white papers, video scripts, questionnaires and other content and marketing materials on a daily basis while adhering to in-depth legal and copy clearance guidelines and ensuring the utmost quality and technical accuracy across an array of topics.
  • Work with our network of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and subject matter experts to develop content by supplying thoughtful and informative projects briefs while directly managing these relationships, workflows, and processes.
  • Work with a variety of graphic designers, editors, marketing professionals, and creative directors to conceptualize, plan, and ensure the successful launch of high-budget marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained across all content assets. This includes conducting thorough reviews, redlining, and editing article and video content along with marketing assets.
  • Oversee the medico-legal review process with Clients and meticulously edit (MLR) content based upon client and MLR feedback by adjusting terminology, auditing and suggesting new source citations, and incorporating approved language or claims into copy as communicated by the Client and their MLR teams
  • Efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and content objectives are achieved.
  • Conduct SEO and keyword research to craft engaging titles, headlines, and effectively optimize content.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning of content and communication initiatives, incorporating innovative approaches to enhance our reach and impact for Clients in order to secure and grow account revenues.
  • Occasionally attend certain in-person events and / or film shoots to support the Director of Client Services in Client relationship management, deliverable execution, or strategic planning.
  • Work with our CEO, COO, and Director of Client Services to analyze new business opportunities and create unique pitch ideas in order to secure new clients and grow existing business.
  • Coordinate with doctor KOLs on clinical programming.
  • Collaborate with our CEO, who leads the creative direction, to come up with brand-new ideas to solve client problems and deliver client value.

What are the required qualifications?

  • Doctor of Optometry Degree
  • A passion for writing
  • Experience creating and developing content in eyecare
  • A background or experience in eyecare
  • Experience interfacing with clients at large healthcare corporations
  • Experience interfacing with marketing, content, designers, and product specialists

Top candidates will also have :

  • Demonstrated experience in research, writing, and publishing
  • Experience with film or video production
  • Some marketing experience
