LABOR & EMPLOYMENT ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Our client, a premier international AmLaw 50 law firm , is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its nationally-recognized Labor & Employment Practice Group in Houston . This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated attorney to handle complex and high-stakes labor and employment litigation matters while working alongside some of the most respected practitioners in the field.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in Texas , in good standing
- 2 years of substantive labor and employment litigation experience
- Experience with temporary restraining order and temporary injunction proceedings , trade secret misappropriation , and non-compete litigation
- Exposure to wage and hour class action and single-plaintiff employment litigation
- Skilled in discovery , motion practice , and drafting pleadings , motions , and other court filings
- Experience preparing for trial in both state and federal courts and participating in settlement conferences and negotiations preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives
- Strong writing, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills required, with an exceptional work ethic and a team-oriented mindset
Key Responsibilities
Represent clients in labor and employment litigation matters, including TROs , injunctions , trade secret , and restrictive covenant disputesConduct and manage written and document discovery , depositions , and motion practiceDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings for state and federal mattersParticipate in settlement negotiations , mediations , and arbitration proceedingsSupport trial preparation and provide strategic litigation advice to clientsCollaborate with partners and senior attorneys across practice groups to deliver high-quality client serviceEngage in client counseling and compliance matters , ensuring adherence to applicable employment laws and regulationsWhy Join Us?
