Job Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Social Media Community Strategist to join our Experience Strategy team! The primary responsibility is active management of day-to-day interactions between a major furniture brand and its community across social platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok) through moderation, proactive engagement, content calendar management, and content creation across platforms.
This is a fast-paced role with the opportunity to bring the voice of an iconic brand to life.
Functions of this role also include client-facing responsibilities, including social sentiment reports and content calendar reviews.
Extended responsibilities include collaboration with creative teams to develop timely and compelling social media content, the development of customer insights through social listening, and the discovery of opportunities to engage with fans and take advantage of relevant social topics and trends.
This person should also be constantly looking for opportunities to streamline processes, finding ways to work internally and with clients and partners more efficiently, and challenge the norms of how brands communicate in social media.
Essential Job Functions
- Create and maintain social media content planning documents
- Bring the brand voice to life through the writing and creation of social content and follower engagement
- Schedule and publish social content across Facebook, Instagram, X, Pinterest
- Monitor, moderate, and engage with users across platforms
- Identify social listening insights and opportunities to inform monthly content planning
- Contribute social sentiment analysis and insight to monthly reports
- Work closely with the Social & Digital Strategist on the development of nuanced platform content and engagement strategies
Required and preferred hard and soft skills
- Experience working in social media management tools to schedule and publish content, manage and reply to inbound messages, and manage creative assets required (experience working in Sprinklr strongly preferred)
- Experience using tools to monitor trending topics and brand sentiment in social media and formulating plans of action for brand engagement and / or response as appropriate (Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Hootesuite, Crimson Hexagon / Brandwatch, Netbase, Meltwater, native platform analytics, etc.)
- Strong familiarity and proficiency managing brand accounts across major Social Media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.)
- Have an exceptional attention to detail; sweat the small stuff and pride yourself on the pursuit of precision
- Be relentlessly curious; seek to understand not just how things are, by why they are the way they are
- Exercise your imagination; How could we engage people in new and compelling ways? What don't we know about what motivates our fans to connect with us?
What new trends and creative techniques are you seeing out in the world? How could we apply those to engaging with our community?
What new processes could we use internally to work smarter and faster? How can we make sure everyone has access to insights from our community?
- Strong organizational skills are vital, as is the ability to maintain quality and accuracy in a fast-moving environment with multiple parties involved both internally and across clients
- General knowledge of and interest in social media trends and news
The semi-monthly salary range for this position is $2,500.00 - $2,916.67, with an annualized equivalent of $60,000 - $70,000.
