The General Manager position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all Recycled Concrete Operations including the following, but not limited to : communication with production managers, handling all aspects related to plant equipment, site personnel, and customers;
scheduling and necessary maintenance.
Recycle Operations consist of 4 fixed plants and 1 train terminal that produce 1.5M tons annually
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- The selected candidate will be required to work in a team environment with other co-workers and managers
- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in all aspects of Recycled Concrete Operations
- Supervise and coordinate crew activities, studying production schedules, and estimating work requirements for completion of job assignments with or beating the job estimate
- Schedule the mobilization of needed equipment
- Supervise, coordinate, train, and coach assigned personnel in the completion of jobs and daily work duties
- Responsible for ensuring that managers supervise equipment operators and laborers to ensure that work is being done according to the field layout and the plans
- Ensure that employees operate and maintain equipment properly to meet production goals
- Notify the shop of equipment mechanical issues
- Lead crews in our safety culture and help ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain time and material records necessary for completing daily job costing
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education / Experience
- College Degree in a complementary program or relevant Quarry industry experience.
- Previous management experience is required
- 12 plus years of Quarry or Plant experience required
- Leadership training a plus
- Valid state driver’s license
