Title : Senior Process Control ApplicationEngineers
Location : BaytownTX (OnSite)
Rate : $45 on W2
Roles& Responsibilities :
- Our Application Engineers are responsible for developingand supporting basic and advanced process control applications thatenhance plant process safety operability andprofitability.
- He / She will participate In andsometimes lead multifunctional teams tasked with unittroubleshooting debottlenecking and optimization or projectdevelopment and execution.
In this role will also serve as a seniorprocess control resource providing technical expertise andmentoring across business teams.
- Develop andprovide support for basic process control applications using basicapplication engineering skills such as point configuration looptuning and identification of process dynamics
- Demonstrate technical leadership in a competitiveenvironment :
- Broadly apply technical andbusiness skills to solve more complex problems.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to nonroutineproblems by leading teams in resolving technical challenges with anexpanding sphere of influence beyond core technicaldiscipline.
- Implement and sustain base andadvanced controls including multivariable constraint control modelpredictive control and advanced optimization andautomation
- Recognize business opportunitiesand contribute toward the improvement of existing unitoperations
- Mentor less experienced engineersto develop skills
- Monitor maintain and modifyexisting process control applications and operatorinterfaces
- Identify and develop new controlschemes to increase process safety operability andprofitability
- Provide process control supportduring project development installation and startup
- Participate actively on unit operating team includingmolecule management unit troubleshooting and incidentinvestigations
- Demonstrated organizationalskills with the ability to manage multiple priorities andstakeholders
- Candidates will need to workeffectively as a member of an operating team good communication andinterpersonal skills are essential
Required Skills (TechnicalCompetency) :
- BS ChemicalEngineering or equivalent degree
- Relevant workexperience in a manufacturing / operating plantenvironment
- Knowledge of refining / chemicalprocesses with 10 years working experience in petrochemicalindustry
DesiredSkills :
- Demonstratedexperience with regulatory and advanced controls of manufacturingprocesses
- Experience with DMC RMPCT / ProfitController or similar model predictive control technology and / orrealtime optimizers
- Knowledge of Honeywell TDC3000 and / or Experion process control system
- Able to demonstrate innovation initiative teamworkaccuracy effectiveness and selfconfidence
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Sufficient leadership skills to successfully promoteideas coordinate work activities and plan future applicationimprovement
