We are in the search for an Accounting Manager to join our team in the non-profit industry. Based in Los Angeles, California, this role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
As an Accounting Manager, you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities that include reviewing and approving invoices, performing monthly GL and Bank Reconciliations, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements.
This role is hybrid - 2 days on site.)
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the review and approval of invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct monthly General Ledger (GL) and Bank Reconciliations for financial accuracy.
- Prepare and upload month-end journal entries to maintain up-to-date records.
- Assist in the preparation and completion of financial statements to provide accurate financial reporting.
- Allocate and enter all salary expenditures in the accounting system.
- Engage in Full Cycle Accounting to ensure completeness and accuracy of all financial records.
- Maintain and manage Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure timely collection of payments.
- Prepare Monthly Financial Reports for review and analysis.
- Perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy.
- Assist in Budget allocations to ensure proper utilization of funds.
- Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the non-profit industry
- Proficient in Full Cycle Accounting
- Demonstrated experience with Month End Close procedures
- Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations and Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
- Experience with Budget Allocations
- Ability to Prepare Financial Reports and Monthly Financial Reporting
- Knowledge of Financial Reporting procedures
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification such as CPA is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
