About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Emergency Room (ER) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour Nights (7 PM - 7 AM) Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years License : Required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have : Telemetry, Cardiac skills Job Description : Work in a 28-bed Emergency Department, including 3 resuscitation bays.
- Manage care for a variety of cases, including CAD, COPD, CHF, Sepsis, Trauma, STEMI, and Stroke.- Provide care in a designated 4-bed locked psychiatric area within the ER.
- Collaborate with a team that has 24-hour ED physician coverage and 30-hour APP coverage.- Perform duties in a facility equipped with all necessary respiratory equipment, including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow devices.
- Responsible for reading telemetry strips as all beds are monitored.- Utilize the AllScripts EMR system for documentation.
- Engage with a supportive team including ED charge and house supervisors, LNAs, Paramedics, and access to 24 / 7 X-ray, CT, U / S, and MRI services.
- Participate in day-one orientation with an educator followed by two days with a preceptor.- Abide by varying weekend and holiday work requirements, with no floating requirements or call / standby duties.
- Follow the dress code as per the department policy.
