About The Position
Job Title : Radiation Therapist Job Specialty : Radiation Oncology Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Monday to Friday, 8 am onwards Guaranteed Hours : 30 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years License : Current licensed radiation therapist Certifications : BLS / CPR Must-Have : - Flu vaccine is mandatory (no exceptions).
- Must adhere to a 100-mile radius rule regarding permanent address proximity to the workplace. Job Description : Operate and manage radiation therapy equipment, including Varian Halcyon and Phillips CT.
- Utilize Aria and Eclipse systems for treatment planning and workflow management.- If holding an X-ray license, provide support in the Imaging department to achieve full-time hours.
- Participate in orientation and continuous training as necessary.- Follow facility protocols and safety guidelines to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Collaborate with the medical team to assess and plan patient care effectively.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and treatment documentation.
- Provide compassionate and informative care while addressing patient concerns and questions.- Flexibility required as the facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment.
- Limit requested time off to no more than 3 days for the duration of the contract.- This position does not require holiday coverage.
