About the Job
Rotating equipment engineer for Olefins, LNG, Carbon Capture, and Blue Hydrogen / Ammonia projects located in both domestic and international markets.
Assignment is in the Technip Energies Houston operating center.
Job Duties :
- Develop the scope of work for PDP, FEED, and detailed engineering projects.
- Assist with the preparation of Mechanical manhour estimates for proposals.
- Assist in the preparation of material requisitions for rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, and expanders.
- Develop rotating equipment specifications and / or review client specifications.
- Produce mechanical datasheets for pumps and compressors, as well as auxiliaries such as turbines, gearboxes, electric motors, and lube oil systems.
- Review and manage submitted vendor drawings and other documentation.
- Provide engineering support by answering technical questions and requests.
- Identify scope changes or deviations and notify project team.
- Ensure conformance to applicable government regulations, engineering codes and standards as well as company QA system, policies, and procedures.
About You :
- BSME or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Minimum 10 years experience in major rotating equipment (pumps and compressors).
- Experience reviewing specifications, performing equipment selections, performing mechanical Code calculations, producing requisitions, performing technical bid evaluations, and reviewing vendor documents for rotating equipment.
- Knowledge of applicable API standards (610, 617, 618, is required.
- The ability to evaluate compressors in both grassroots and re-rate applications including thermodynamic evaluation, rotor dynamics, and flow limitations.
- Experience with large olefins or LNG compressors and their drivers (steam turbines, gas turbines, large electric motors) is desirable.
- Software knowledge should include Microsoft Office applications.
- Professional licensure in the . is required.
