Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Acute Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality care to patients across all age groups, with a focus on primary care.
This position is working in a hospital environment and providing exceptional care. Your contribution as a valuable team member will be pivotal in ensuring the delivery of top-notch healthcare services.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct physical examinations and observe patients
- Document medical histories and symptoms of patients
- Create patient care plans
- Keep track of any changes in patient’s health and adjust their treatment plant accordingly
- Train patients and their families to manage and prevent illness and injury
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care to patients admitted to the hospital
- Work closely with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Advocate for patients' needs, rights, and preferences while promoting a patient-centered and culturally sensitive approach to care.
Requirements / Education / Skills
- 3600 Hours prior practice experience as a Nurse Practitioner & Industrial Health Preference required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
- N.Y.S. Registered Nurse
- Graduate of a N.Y.S. Registered Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Successful completion of pharmacy component
- Must be able to lift and position patients if required
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal / communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others on the team to achieve desired outcomes.
- Organizational time management skills as evidenced by capacity to multitask and prioritize work
- Educate patients on preventive health measures and wellness strategies.
