LST is seeking an experienced Senior Business Investment Analyst to support FAA acquisition Management System (AMS) acquisition process and experience / skills in technical editing / writing.
The skills / knowledge for this position include life cycle project management, Screen Information Request (SIR) documentation, proposal evaluation, contract management principles and technical writing.
The ideal candidate will provide support for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Enterprise Programs, Infrastructure, and Communications Services (EPICS) Support Task Order.
Responsibilities :
- The SWIM program requires comprehensive understanding and practical experience with including the following :
- Investment analysis process and program artifacts required to support the program and help it progress through the various AMS acquisition life cycle milestones and the associated Investment Planning and Analysis (IP&A) and Joint Resources Council (JRC) review processes.
- Ability to understand program requirements and cost estimates to support the evaluation of proposals. Experience with market surveys, SIR documents, contract types and trade off analyses to support SWIM program needs.
This may include developing materials in support of information exchange meetings with industry, developing lessons learned and writing evaluation reports.
- Strong written communication and ability edit effectively to minimize the need for additional revisions and provide recommendations that align with organizational needs and direction.
- Perform research as needed to understand relevant policies, guidelines and regulations that influence documents and deliverables.
- Support identification and or develop / implementation of tools to best track the work, mitigate risks, and ensure deliverables are of high quality and on schedule which will then help eliminate schedule lags. SWIM
Required Experience :
- Strong acquisition background. A comprehensive understanding of how the AMS ties into the JRC process is necessary for the success of this program.
- Strong writing and communication skills to provide acquisition support in evaluation efforts.
- Experienced work experience with (IP&A), showcasing experience navigating throughout the various check points / milestones.
- Experience assisting FAA programs with acquisition activities and evaluation activities.
Education :
Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field).
Work Requirements :
- Work location : Washington, DC Contactor site, some remote work acceptable
- Work Hours : Onsite 1-3 days per week. Normal working hours
- Travel : 0-20%
- Physical requirements :
- Extended Computer Use : Regular and prolonged periods of working at a computer terminal.
- Lifting and Carrying : Occasional lifting of equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds may be required during installations or maintenance.
- Mobility : Ability to move around the office environment to access computer hardware, networking equipment, and server rooms.
- Dexterity : Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform tasks requiring precision.
- Sitting / Standing : Both prolonged sitting and occasional standing may be required for troubleshooting and attending to system issues.
- Background check : Must have ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

Compensation (Pay Bands)
Salary at LST is determined by a wide array of factors, such as (but not limited to) education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws.
Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time, 40 hour / week status.
Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of LSTs total compensation package for employees.
In compliance with local laws, LS Technologies presents this reasonable compensation range as a guideline for roles in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington D.C."
