Job Description :
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following : *
- Assess the health and developmental status of pupils as part of their special education evaluation
- Interpret the health and developmental assessments to parents, teachers, administrators, and other professionals directly concerned with the pupil
- Provide a written report of health and medical findings
- Provide pupils, parents and others with information on community resources
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :
- Ability to organize and present ideas effectively in oral and written form.
- Ability to interact respectfully with youths and others
- Flexibility in scheduling
- Ability to work independently and effectively with multiple individuals and at several sites
- Willingness to travel to various school locations
- Ability to make skillful decisions.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet IEP report timelines.
Requirements :
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- A valid Registered Nurse License in California.
- Current Certification in CPR.
- Must possess a credential with a School Nurse authorization OR be eligible for a School Nurse service credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
- A valid Audiometry certification
