Location : Hanover, VA
Salary Range : $48.00 - $50.00 Hourly
We are currently seeking Full Time Registered Nurses and PRN Registered Nurses to join our team at Pamunkey County Jail located in Hanover, Virginia.

About this position :
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing care for and treating detainees in a correctional setting. Correctional nurses administer both routine and emergency medical care and treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
Education / Certifications
Graduate from a nationally accredited registered nursing program
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of employment or ability to obtain license
Current Basic Life Support
Job Type : Full Time
Correctional nursing experience preferred but not required
Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Available shift : 6A-6P - Day Shift
6A-6P - Day Shift
10A-10P - Mid Shift
6P-6A - Night Shift
PRN Availability
General Duties : included but not limited to :
Seeing patients for medical complaints, both acute and chronic
Performing 14-day physicals on all patients
Managing their chronic medical conditions by monitoring labs and medication efficiency
Working with the dentist to ensure that our patients oral care is addressed
Responding to medical emergencies
Working hand in hand with physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and correctional staff who all have the same goal of optimal patient care
Excellent communication skills-verbal and written; Ability to concisely communicate situations or needs effectively with sites and GENESYS Health Alliance Corporate Managers
Computer proficiency required-email, document exchange, excel, etc.
