About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 6 : 45 PM - 7 : 15 AM Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years License : State License Required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIH Must-Have : - Proficiency in cardiac monitoring- IV therapy including PICC line management and dressing changes- IV medications, including administration of antibiotics and drips such as heparin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, and cardizem- Tracheostomy management- Intermediate / step-down experience Job Description : Work in a 21-bed unit with patient ratios ranging from 3 : 1 to 5 : 1 depending on patient needs.
- Handle BiPAPs, high flow equipment, telemetry monitoring, and occasional cardiac drips.- Float to other PCU or Med Surg units as needed.
- Provide excellent critical thinking skills in stressful situations.- Exhibit a positive attitude and flexibility with changes in patient assignments or units.
- Foster a supportive environment with a good sense of humor to relieve stress among team members and build trust with patients and families.
- Wear galaxy blue scrubs with blue or black bottoms for attire.- Work every other weekend and cover at least two out of three major holidays.
- Join an accredited center with advanced heart care and be part of recognized medical firsts.- Be involved in the latest therapies and comprehensive care in a setting known for its pioneering medical achievements.
