26082 Warehouse Support- (non-forklift)

Purpose

As a family-owned company, its the people who continue to make STIHL a successful, world-class brand. STIHL is seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented Warehouse Support- Midwest STIHL (non-forklift certified) personnel for our Distribution Branch in Cottage Grove, WI.

You will be responsible to participate in the overall operations of the branch by receiving incoming goods, picking and packing orders, shipping completed orders, recording material movements, and assisting administrative support staff with customer shipping.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Receives incoming orders for parts, accessories, or product by inspecting incoming documentation and matching with items received.
• Unloads received items from trucks or other transit containers and transfer items to designated stock location.
• Receives work orders from supervisor or other oral instructions to ascertain orders to be filled.
• Picks orders by visually identifying part numbers, quantities and types.
• Packages order by applying approved methods to ensure safety of shipping and moves to appropriate staging location.
• Prepares completed orders for shipping using accepted methods determined by transit type, such as UPS or commercial transit.
• Creates labels and other supporting documentation for shipping.
• Records transactions as required.
• May load trucks or other transit containers with completed orders when necessary, ensuring safe operation and secure packing for over the road transit.
• May record material transfers, storage and other movements on PCs, CRTs, or paper, ensuring accuracy of information.
• Prepares saw chain for customer specifications or inventory by taking bulk chain, matching chain type with work order, and creating specified lengths.
• Packs completed chain and prepares for shipping or inventory.
• Records completed chain in inventory system.
• Performs additional related duties as required.

Specifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some level of related experience involving warehouse support functions such as picking / packing orders, loading / unloading trucks, recording material movements, etc.
• Manual dexterity with the ability to use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, sit frequently, stands, walks, stoops, kneels and crouches occasionally, lifts and / or moves up to 25 pounds frequently and lifts and / or moves with mechanized assistance up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• The ability to work overtime as during peak selling times, overtime and Saturdays may be required
• Prior experience with RF technology is preferred but not required.
