What We're Looking For

  • The Bank is seeking a Fair Lending Senior Analyst to support multiple Fair Lending Compliance functions, including assisting with various activities and initiatives to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate fair lending risk;
  • providing subject matter expertise and guidance in fair lending matters related to inquiries from regulators and oversight bodies;

and assisting with efforts to collect data and ensure its accuracy and completeness within the context of Fair Lending Compliance Program requirements.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Use fair lending, fintech banking, and partner knowledge and subject matter expertise on fair lending data analytics workstreams, including projects with third-party consultants, and projects to support, or respond to, regulatory expectations and requirements.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to manage manual data collection and ensure data integrity within tight timeframes.
  • Succinctly and clearly communicate intricate fact patterns to others by understanding complex business models with multiple products, investor programs, and tri-party banking relationships.
  • Evaluate data files to identify questions, concerns, and issues that may affect the Fair Lending and Data Science teams' ability to use the data for fair lending statistical analysis.
  • Act as the main liaison for multiple projects, including regulatory examination and data analytics workstreams.
  • Work closely with Fair Lending Data Management, Fair Lending Compliance, Data Science, and Project Managers to ensure that all project statuses and responses are accurate and presented in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with developing and delivering training in areas of expertise.
  • Assist management with compiling information for reporting as well as audit and regulatory requests; design reports as needed.
  • Use fair lending subject matter expertise to implement risk identification and monitoring activities to proactively identify products, models, policies, practices, etc.

Qualifications :

  • 1 - 2+ years of combined fair lending and other related consumer compliance experience in a consumer financial services or regulatory agency.
  • 1 - 2+ years of experience in data collection and management in a consumer financial services organization.
  • Working knowledge of fair lending-related laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, The Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA / Reg B), Unfair, Deceptive, Abusive Acts and Practices (UDAAP), and the Fair Housing Act (FHA).
  • Understanding of consumer loan and consumer banking documentation, servicing, and operations.
  • Understanding of fair lending analytical techniques, including but not limited to raw disparity and regression analysis.
  • Understanding of industry best practices related to data management, and especially data integrity.
  • Experience with audits and regulatory exams.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience acting as a "lead" on compliance / fair lending-related projects and activities, mentoring less experienced team members as necessary.
  • Computer proficiency, specifically MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Critical thinking and the ability to "connect the dots"; to synthesize information from various sources and multiple data points across multiple business units to develop a comprehensive assessment of fair lending and fair banking risk.
  • Maintain strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills; ability to complete multiple concurrent tasks within close deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to operate successfully in a rapidly-changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience analyzing data from multiple sources, including API databases, data science reports, partner JSON request scripts, and credit application source documentation.
  • Ability to collaborate successfully across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to identify, communicate, and remediate data observations.

Salary Range : $80,000.00 - $100,000.00
