Sapient Logic is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager / Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, and business development, and a deep understanding of the Department of Defense (DoD) market.

This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, the ability to manage complex projects, and a proven track record of securing new business opportunities.

Responsibilities :

• Project Management :
• Lead and manage multiple IT / software development projects from inception to completion.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including project performers and stakeholders, to ensure project objectives are met.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with DoD standards and regulations.
• Business Development :
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the DoD industry.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the DoD and related government agencies.
• Prepare and present proposals, capability statements, and presentations to potential clients.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
• Build teaming relationships with other companies in the DoD industry.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategic business plans and marketing strategies.
• Client Relationship Management :
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
• Conduct regular meetings with clients to provide project updates and gather feedback.
• Address and resolve any client issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Compliance and Reporting :
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant DoD regulations and standards.
• Prepare and submit required documentation and reports to clients and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records and documentation.

Skills and Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• PMP or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and business development within the DoD or government contracting space, or a minimum of 10 years as a federal civilian employee with technical and project management experience.
• Strong understanding of DoD acquisition processes, regulations, and standards.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT / software development projects.
• Demonstrated ability to secure new business opportunities and build strong client relationships. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• US Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Job Type : Full-time

Compensation package :

• Salary range 120,000-185,000 / Year
