The Courtyard Milwaukee Airport and Residence Inn Wauwatosa are seeking a qualified Dual Director of Sales.

This is primarily a Director of Sales position with some operational duties. Candidates must have hotel sales experience to be considered for the position.
Job Summary : Responsible for the overall success of the hotels. Meet or exceed planned objectives for revenue and profit, and ensure guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met.
Assist the General Managers in supervising all areas of the hotel in accordance with brand and company standards to achieve a friendly atmosphere of superior guest service and product quality.
Provide exemplary performance for staff to follow. In addition, responsible for leading the sales department, and meeting and exceeding planned revenue objectives for occupancy and average daily rate (ADR) and RevPAR.
Manage all areas of sales according to company and brand standards to achieve a professional rapport within the local business community.
Responsibilities :
- Profit Management :
- Meet and exceed budgeted RevPAR for the hotel.
- Prepare and follow-through the sales action plan.
- Prepare departmental budget that correctly reflects the hotel’s business plan.
- Direct selling activities to maximize revenues.
- Know the hotel’s demand segments, sources of business, and balance market segments according to supply and demand.
- Know the principal competition for each market segment and take advantage of the hotel’s strengths against each competitor.
- Accurately forecast occupancy changes based on changing market conditions (additions to supply and demand, etc.).
- Provide operational support to banquet and hotel staff as needed.
- Financial :
- Achieve budgeted revenue and profit goals.
- Accurately forecast revenue and expenses.
- Anticipate revenue / cost problems and manage the timing of discretionary expenditures to stabilize cash flow.
- Analyze financial and operational information on an ongoing basis to adjust business plans, labor requirements, and operating costs.
- Ensure hotel staff is trained in financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories, and receivables and ensure that these procedures are followed.
- Produce accurate, timely financial reports.
- Identify major revenue and expense opportunities.
- Accurately forecast occupancy changes based on changing market conditions (i.e. increased competition).
- Achievement of revenue and cost objectives.
- Marketing and Sales Management :
- Create and implement the development of the hotel’s sales action plan based on the hotel’s position and strengths within each market segment.
- Analyze and understand the competition’s strengths and weaknesses for each market segment and successfully direct marketing activities against each.
- Identify and maintain constant communication with the hotel’s key accounts.
- Actively sell room nights through outside sales calls, cold calling, tours, etc.
- Actively sell to in-house guests (greeting tours, talking with guests at breakfast to surface additional leads, etc.).
- Know the competition well. In addition, be familiar with all business in the market and know where that business stays and why.
- Use the resources available in the brand and company manual to discover, call on, and track potential business.

- Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and pass as an approved driver.
