I am currently working with a leading AM LAW ranked firm in Chicago , who are actively looking to hire multiple junior to mid-level associates in their growing Investment Services group.
Position Overview : The firm is seeking a skilled Investment Services Attorney to join their dynamic group. In this role, you will provide expert legal guidance on a wide range of investment-related matters, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and protecting the interests of our clients and the firm.
Key Responsibilities :
- Advise on legal issues related to investment products and services, including mutual funds, private placements, and alternative investments.
- Draft, review, and negotiate investment management agreements, compliance policies, and other legal documents.
- Monitor and interpret relevant regulations and industry developments to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including compliance, risk management, and business development, to provide comprehensive legal support.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support investment strategies and business initiatives.
Qualifications :
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in Illinois.
- 1+ year(s) of experience in investment services law or related fields, with a focus on regulatory compliance and transactional work.
- Strong understanding of securities regulations, investment company acts, and relevant legal frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
