Registered Nurse- Full Time Nights 7D Surgical Unit at OMC

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse for the 7D Surgical Unit at Overlook Medical Center to work from 7PM-7AM, including every third weekend.

Entry level offers start at $43.00 / hour and increase based upon experience.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities :

• Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.
• Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
• Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.

Minimum Education :

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required
• BSN Required

Minimum Experience :

• 1-2 years Acute Care and Cardiac / Telemetry experience preferred
• Experience with surgical patients - patient with disorders of the GI and GU system preferred
• Experience with ERAS programs a plus

License / Certifications :

• Valid NJ Registered Nurse License
• BLS required
• SCRN / CNRN a plus (Preferred)

Qualifications :

• Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
• Leadership skills / excellent organization and excellent time management skills
• OMC Neuroscience units have Joint Commission Designation in Comprehensive Stroke and as a Center of Excellence in Spine surgery
• Become part of a team of professionals dedicated to providing specialized care for adults with dysfunction of the central nervous system
• The individual must be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Must have strong time management and multitasking skills
• Must have leadership ability and be able to delegate tasks to unlicensed care givers
