Position Overview :

The Product Owner Senior role in the Single-Family Acquisitions department will support the Digital Design & Agile Practices.

This role helps SF Mission & Community Engagement Team realize their business goals, by providing product vision for new products as well as product improvement strategy.

Enabling the implementation of the product vision for new Affordable Housing products and product improvement strategy for existing Affordable Housing products

Your Impact :

  • Ensures alignment of product features and prioritize user stories in line with product vision and in support of the business needs.
  • Drives sprint and release plans together with the Scrum Master and organizational technology teams.
  • Follows a results-oriented, clear vision of product and communicates effectively to key partners and the rest of the team.
  • Presents the Affordable Housing Strategy and Housing Insights & Solutions business vision as the principal contact, subject matter expert and product leader.
  • Ensures customer-driven design to deliver a scalable product
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and stakeholders, to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap
  • Assess customer needs and market trends to identify opportunities for new products or enhancements to existing products
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products, their features, and their target audience
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that it aligns with the overall product strategy and goals
  • Define and communicate clear product requirements and user stories to the development team
  • Conduct user research, gather feedback, and analyze data to inform product decisions and drive continuous improvement
  • Monitor product performance and make data-driven recommendations for optimizations and enhancements
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in on product plans and priorities
  • Manage product launches and releases, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the Product Owner team and across the organization
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on product performance, roadmap, and key initiatives
  • Represent the product team in meetings and presentations with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and partners.

Qualifications :

  • 5-7+ years of related Product Owner experience in the Financial services industry, preferably mortgage
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) management and / or training platforms
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with consumer education and / or client partner training
  • Experience with cloud platform products and vendor management
  • Experience with agile product development, user centered design concepts and tools such as customer journey mapping
  • Experience / understanding in Change Management and change processes / controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving thought processes
  • Experience with APM tools like Atlassian Jira, Confluence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present sophisticated ideas in a clear, concise manner to technical, non-technical and senior level management audiences
