Qualified candidates should have experienceadministering regional and orthopedic anesthesia, as well asanesthesia for outpatient surgery

Candidates must be certified in AdvancedCardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Minimum Training andEducation :

Must be a graduate ofthe Council on Accreditation’s Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs’approved programs of anesthesia, certified, or recertified by theNational Board on Certification and Recertification for NurseAnesthetists, and insurable by the medical malpractice insurer ofMUSC for the required limits.

The minimum educationrequirement for those hired after March 1, 2019, is a master’sdegree, or higher, with the concentration in NurseAnesthesia.

Required Licensure, Certifications,Registrations :

Must be recognized as an APRN or beeligible, with current license to practice, or eligibility toobtain practice in the state of SouthCarolina

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationfrom an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS course isrequired

Must becertified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support(ACLS)
