To execute on our vision and strategic imperatives, the Enterprise Data Services & Operations (EDSO) team is focused on building a modern, connected data ecosystem that accelerates the use of data, analytics, and advanced AI.

We are looking for passionate and motivated Data Engineers to join our growing team of engineers. We are on a mission to transform technology and health care and you will play a pivotal role in executing our strategies and making our vision come true.

Training and development will be a part of your role. Due to this you must have the ability to commute to one of the following office location : Hartford, CT.

This is a hybrid role (3 days a week onsite) in the Aetna offices in Hartford, CT.Responsibilities : Develops scalable, repeatable and secure data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, standardize and integrate data that facilitate more complete, accurate and consistent data for insights and reportingBuilds efficient, high quality, integrated and increasingly real-time ETL / ELT processes using tools, programming languages and servicesDelivers data capabilities and new data products to accelerate investments in data and democratize data across the enterprise and within the Health Care Business unitCollaborates with data science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processesBuilds data models, data marts and extracts to support Data Science, internal customers and third-party administratorsAnalyzes data, understands complex systems and solves challenging data sourcing and integration problemsPromotes engineering excellence by simplifying, optimizing, and automating processes and workflowsInnovates by leveraging and practicing agile techniques to achieve efficiency, boost productivity and improve processesRequired Qualifications : 1+ years hands-on experience building and deploying data pipelines1+ years' experience using Python and any ETL toolWorking experience in Relational databases or Hadoop with strong understanding of SQL or HQLHands on experience in building solutions in public cloud environments (GCP, Azure or AWS)Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilityPreferred Qualifications : Experience building ETL data pipelines in Ab-Initio or equivalent technologyExperience in GCP Cloud services such as Big Query, Composer, Airflow, DataProc.

Working background with tools Tableau, Alteryx and / or ThoughtSpotBasic Understanding of some ETL Tools e.g., AbInitio, Native BigQuery etc.

Experience with bash shell scripts, UNIX utilities & UNIX Commands, CI / CDAgile practice experience with methodologies like SAFe.

Healthcare domain experience.Education : Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or related disciplineMaster’s degree or PhD preferredPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is : $64,890.

00 - $131,800.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
