Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with Med / Surg and Telemetry skills to join a Level 1 trauma center float pool requiring ACLS, BLS, and a compact or SD RN license.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Central Resource Pool (Med Surg / Tele) within an acute care hospital setting
  • Level 1 trauma center environment
  • Float between Med / Surg and Telemetry units as needed
  • 12-hour rotating day / night shifts with every other weekend and holiday required
  • Uses Epic for charting and documentation
  • Provide care for diverse patient populations requiring medical-surgical and telemetry interventions
  • Works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Adheres to facility and nursing standards of practice
  • All candidates must badge in and out for each shift
  • Local candidates (within 80 miles) are accepted but have adjusted pay rates
  • Must have a 6-month gap from prior employment at Sanford Health to be eligible
  • 8 hours of orientation provided before assuming full responsibilities

    • Requirements

  • Active RN license in SD or compact state is required
  • At least 2 years of RN experience required
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Prior experience with Med / Surg and Telemetry patients required
  • Must disclose any previous employment at Sanford Health
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
