About the Job :

As a Driver for Elite Roofing Supply (ERS), your primary responsibility will be the safe and punctual delivery of roofing materials to customer job sites.

Your role extends beyond transportation, as you'll also serve as a representative of ERS, always emphasizing friendly and professional customer service.

The physical requirements outlined below are integral to effectively fulfilling the duties of this position. While performing your responsibilities, you will regularly engage in activities such as standing, walking, using your hands for various tasks, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as necessary.

Effective communication and possessing the coordination and physical ability to operate vehicles safely are crucial aspects of the role.

Additionally, you must be capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to 75 pounds regularly.

Requirements

Essential Functions (Driver) :

• Safely and promptly delivering roofing materials to customer job sites.
• Representing ERS by providing friendly and professional customer service.
• Adhering to the physical requirements necessary for the job, including standing, walking, using hands for tasks, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as needed.
• Communicating effectively and possessing the coordination and physical ability to operate vehicles safely.
• Lifting and moving items weighing up to 75 pounds regularly to fulfill job duties.

Qualifications :

• Strong emphasis on safety.
• Possession of a valid Class "A" or "B" Commercial Driver's License with Airbrake and Hazmat endorsements in good standing.
• Clean driving record.
• OSHA-approved Powered Industrial Equipment certification (training provided).
• Ability to lift items weighing over 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
• Successful completion of a DOT drug test and background check.
• Capability to access rooftops for specific deliveries.
• Comfortable working outdoors and occasionally at heights.
• Previous experience with Knuckle Boom and Moffett equipment is highly desirable.

Work Environment :

The work environment emphasizes safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence both on and off-site, as drivers may be required to navigate multiple delivery locations.

This includes being prepared to work in varying weather conditions, including inclement weather.

Physical Demands :

Regular engagement in activities such as standing, walking, manual tasks with hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be necessary as part of your duties.

Additionally, you must be capable of regularly lifting and moving items weighing up to 75 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work :

This position is full-time, with workdays scheduled from Monday to Friday, and occasional Saturdays. Work hours may vary.

Travel :

Travel is not required for this position.

Required Education and Experience :

Education : Valid Class "A" or "B" Commercial Driver's License with Airbrake and Hazmat endorsements in good standing.

Experience : At least 1 year driving experience preferred
