ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT I - Cooperative Extension

Assist County Extension Agents to accomplish their task of providing educational programs to the people of Tarrant County.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Compiles, edits and lays out graphics for newsletters, booklets, flyers and posters.
2. Compiles data, maintains databases and completes forms in a timely manner.
3. Maintains files and publication room files, equipment inventory and records.
4. Researches and answers questions and directs calls to agents or resource providers.
5. Types correspondence, reports, news releases and radio scripts.
6. Processes all incoming and outgoing mail, including bulk mailings.
7. Collects registration fees and sponsors donations and maintains records.
8. Processes publicity, educational packets, forms and supplies for educational activities.
9. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
NOTE : You must fill out the work history and education sections of application to show you have years of experience / education as required by hiring department or be disqualified.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of Full-Time Administrative Assistant and / or Secretarial experience.
- Word processing, bookkeeping, good public relations and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of camera-ready artwork, layout and editing.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse volunteer group and clientele.
