Job Summary

As the System Administrator, you will oversee the management and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that are essential for supporting the organization's daily operations.

Responsibilities include managing servers and networks, implementing security measures, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with teams to optimize IT resources.

The role requires a strong understanding of IT systems and a proactive approach to maintaining a reliable and secure IT environment.

As a key member of our dedicated IT team, you must demonstrate the ability, willingness, and flexibility to take on many various IT-related functions and challenges within the company

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain server and network hardware and software, including network switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and VoIP phones.
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure for the organization.
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and implement fixes.
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on tasks.
  • Coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
  • Implement and manage security tools, policies, and procedures to ensure the protection of the company's information systems.
  • Handle system upgrades and migrations.
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
  • Provide User Administration, L2 Desktop Support, and secondary L1 Desktop Support.
  • Design, implement & management of Active Directory, NTFS security & Group Policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ticket / Incident Response Time.
  • Patch Management Compliance.
  • Documentation Accuracy and Completeness.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline. Bachelor's Degree (BSc / BA) preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Windows operating systems and platforms.
  • Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security.
  • Experience with Veeam Backup and Replication or similar backup solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
  • Solid scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Perl).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication skills and an abundance of common sense.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Professional certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA, A+, Network+) are a plus.
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with IT monitoring systems.
  • Experience with database management and administration.

Physical Requirements

  • Level 1 : Sedentary work.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional walking and / or standing on uneven and / or unimproved surfaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
