We seek a Senior Combat Systems Engineer (VLS) to support a PMS 406 NAVSEA customer. The ideal candidate will be located in the D.C. Metro area.
Duties include :
Providing Navy Combat Systems and VLS integration expertise to Unmanned Ship Program.
Supporting the development of ship specification and testing to demonstrate technology readiness while coordinating with outside organizations.
Providing subject matter expertise to assist the program's decision-making efforts to ensure mission success.
Required Experience :
Senior Engineers must have an engineering background and technical experience integrating U.S. shipboard combat systems, including the Vertical Launch System.
Required Education and Substitution Language :
High school diploma or a GED, and more than twenty (20) years of relevant engineering experience, OR
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and fifteen (15) years of relevant engineering experience, OR
Master's degree in a relevant field and ten (10) years of relevant engineering experience.
Candidate must possess an active security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
