Thar Energy, LLC is part of the broader Thar organization founded in 1990. Thar organization has been a global leader in the use of green, all natural, supercritical fluid processing for the energy, pharmaceutical, food, and chemical industries.
Thar Energy has an immediate opening for a Machine Operator to join its team, focused on small laser operations, operation and maintenance of small-scale industrial process equipment, and other duties as needed.
Job responsibilities include :
- Laser operation
- Notch breaking of steel finish ground parts using a small hand grinder / orbital sander to grind the burs or sharp edge of the parts
- Wash / clean finish ground parts
- May chemically or laser etch parts as needed
- Ensure equipment works to its specifications and to appropriate capacities.
- May assist in our shipping area as needed
- Order and maintain spare parts and consumables.
- Assist in maintaining a clean shop and work area
- Push a cart to deliver parts to various departments within the building
- Follow all related work instructions
- May assist manufacturing / Office personnel in other duties necessary to ensure the proper functioning of the group toward achieving the manufacturing goals.
Requirements include :
- Must be able to stand and walk for a 8-10 hour shift
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must have good hand and finger dexterity for cleaning and manipulating parts
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to communicate well with co-workers as well as work independently and in a team.
- Commitment to safety and quality
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Divers license
Preferred characteristics include :
- Experience with, laser cutting, fixturing, and machining.
- Self-starter who enjoys working in a small company environment with a wide degree of creativity and opportunity for growth working and developing new technologies.
