Environmental Technician Dept. of Defense Waste Disposal Contract
Will assist Contract Manager in preparing all necessary EPA and D.O.T. manifests and supporting documents to ship hazardous waste to a disposal / treatment facility.
Assist in waste inventory, lab packing, and proper packaging of waste. May be required to sample waste for chemical analysis.
Assist contract manager with completion of waste profiles to facilities and generators. Interact with generators as necessary to resolve task order and / or manifest discrepancies or other issues.
Required to load / unload containers weighing up to 2500lbs, both physically and with a forklift, will be required to operate a forklift on military installations.
Ability to work in outside environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, wet, noise). Must be physically able to load hazardous waste containers on a box van for transport.
General computer skills, including Microsoft Office, are required. Must be able to pass background check for military installation entry.
