Commercial Lines Middle Market Account Manager

Job Summary :

An established insurance brokerage is seeking a skilled Commercial Insurance Account Manager with middle market experience.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with Producers and Account Executives to manage Commercial Lines insurance accounts, serving as the primary day-to-day client contact.

Responsibilities include new and renewal marketing, handling client inquiries, and conducting coverage reviews.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide proactive, personalized support to assigned Commercial Lines clients
  • Offer insurance technical expertise to clients and the Account Management team
  • Handle marketing and placement of client Commercial Lines insurance renewals
  • Prepare client applications and renewal submissions for Account Executive review
  • Identify the most appropriate carriers for market pricing with guidance from Account Executive and / or Producer
  • Analyze and compare carrier quotes and coverage offerings
  • Make insurance program recommendations to clients
  • Manage client renewal expirations to prevent coverage lapses
  • Negotiate with carriers on behalf of clients
  • Process policies, endorsements, and audits as needed
  • Drive client cross-selling initiatives and develop customer accounts
  • Prepare and process insurance binders, policies, endorsements, certificates, audits, and cancellations
  • Respond promptly and professionally to underwriters’ inquiries
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management systems
  • Attend occasional in-person client meetings

Requirements / Qualifications :

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective, collaborative working relationships with clients and internal partners
  • 4-6 years of experience as a Commercial Lines account manager; college degree preferred
  • Strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance
  • Licensed CA P&C agent
  • Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, CPCU preferred
  • Proficiency with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products

Schedule :

This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days a week in the office, with the option to work 2 days from home after successfully completing training.
