What You’ll Do :
The New Truck Salesperson is tasked with prospecting for new clients and driving new truck sales while nurturing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
This role involves spending over 50% of the time outside the office, actively engaging in daily new truck sales activities.
Job Duties :
- Identifies leads, manages prospects and acquires new business
- Meets or exceeds new business sales goals
- Completes prospecting activities to secure first and follow-up appointment with decision-makers
- Prepares and delivers proposals / presentations to customers and key decision-makers
- Prepares and drafts sales agreements and other paperwork needed to complete the sale promptly
- Checks credit of potential customers
- Introduces customers and prospective customers to VVG financing department
- Develops and maintains an awareness of the market behavior and competitive trends and responds accordingly
- Provides and generates all documents related to credit approval
- Ensures trucks are ready, repaired, clean, and presentable for purchasing customer
Job Qualifications & Requirements :
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish* required.
- Previous sales experience in the trucking industry
- Experienced in developing and executing sales strategies
- Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must present and communicate in a professional manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be organized with good time management skills
- Possesses proven analytical / problem solving skills for the customer and company
- Computer proficiency
- Exhibit strong skills in presentation, negotiation, and closing deals.
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to pass post offer drug test.
Compensation :
$75,-$, salary PLUS commission (1st year)
Commission after 1st year
Full-Time position.
