Department Summary
The Lundquist College of Business is one of seven schools housing academic programs on the University of Oregon campus. Located 110 miles south of Portland, the University of Oregon has an enrollment of over 25,000.
The Eugene metro area is in a region noted for its dynamic quality of life and progressive cultural environment. We are about an hour's drive from the Pacific coast and the Cascade Mountains.
The University is an AAU research institution.

Lundquist Admissions within the College of Business provides a professional yet vibrant experience for our undergraduate and graduate students as they begin or continue their learning experience.
The Department of Marketing offers courses in marketing, sports marketing, and business environment, provides undergraduates with concentration areas in marketing and sports business, and supports the entrepreneurship concentration.
At the MBA level, the department delivers the core marketing curriculum and supports the sports business and the entrepreneurship and innovation specializations.
The PhD in marketing focuses on consumer behavior, marketing communications, sports marketing, international marketing, and marketing strategy.
Position Summary
The Department of Marketing maintains a pool of candidates interested in filling pro tempore positions as needs arise. Pro Tem positions are limited-duration appointments potentially renewable for up to a total of three years.
Pro tempore faculty work under the supervision of the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Research and / or the requisite department head.
This pool may also be used to fill non-tenure track career appointments as openings arise.
The Department is seeking talented faculty who are passionate about teaching and learning to teach Marketing and / or Sports Business courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Courses are scheduled to be conducted on campus and in the classroom.
Candidates should be strongly committed to quality undergraduate and graduate instruction, service to students, contributing positively to our diverse community, and working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Minimum Requirements
Instructor :
Master’s degree. In exceptional circumstances, a BA / BS degree and evidence of substantial professional experience may substitute for an advanced degree.
Lecturer (for those teaching primarily graduate-level courses) :
Terminal degree in relevant field.
Professor of Practice :
- Substantial basis of experience equal to a tenured professor (normally a minimum of 12 years).
- National / international reputation for excellence reflected in a record of significant accomplishments.
- Profile of accumulated professional accomplishments.
- Rich and extensive background in the field.
