Equitable is looking for a Director of Group Dental Product Management to join our Employee Benefits team. This leader will oversee the Dental product portfolio, roadmaps, dental networks, and vendor partnerships.
They are key drivers that will maintain the product’s financial, operational, and competitive performance by executing on essential product and vendor management strategies.
In this role, the Product Leader will establish strong relationships and facilitate strategic initiatives across cross-functional teams and external entities to ensure optimal product, IT, and customer solutions and product outcomes.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Develop a robust understanding of the various systems that will need to be modified to bring a product offering to market.
- Stay abreast of relevant product advances and technological developments that can significantly improve the product development cycle times or other efficiencies.
- Ensure the effective build out and delivery of product offerings across the Group Insurance ecosystem through multiple teams.
- Collaboratively work with the key stakeholders to develop and execute roadmap to allow for successful execution of the product strategy.
- Lead, coach, develop, and provide strategic guidance for team members while fostering a culture of innovation and inclusion.
- Establish measurement framework (e.g., KPI’s) to assess and improve product development practices.
- Review existing product development lifecycle methodology and practices and make improvements as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 7+ years experience within group dental products.
- Professional experience with concentration in management of and / or direct work with group dental product and network development, compliance, and management.
- In-depth knowledge of group dental products, claims, contracts, underwriting, risk management, and core business functions, with a key emphasis on aligned network strategies (to include platforms, distribution, marketing, etc.).
- Proven ability to successfully develop and stand-up dental networks and products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Familiarity with VSP product plan.
- Demonstrated ability to build from the ground up successfully, with a drive for results, and an ability to identify solutions, and work autonomously, while possessing a strong commitment to developing effective partnerships across the organization.
- Ability to engage productively in both day-to-day tasks and high-level responsibilities associated with creating, maintaining, and enhancing products, networks, and value-added service offerings.
