Software Engineering Program Manager (AI / ML / Algorithms)

Apple is seeking a Software Engineering Program Manager with Computer Vision (CV) / ML / Algorithm experience to join the Video Computer Vision team.

The ideal candidate would lead a hardworking engineering team during product development phases. We are looking for a SW EPM with proven algorithm experience and a strong software background.

You should have a solid track record of shipping complex new technology and experience in building algorithms. You will lead teams through the software development cycle from concept to delivery, collaborating with several teams and driving the definition, schedule, execution, and communication of new features.

Description :

In this role, you will drive large, multi-functional efforts to build technologies for Apple using Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Generative AI.

You will create development schedules, identify critical paths, and maintain thorough execution. You will ensure tight inter-team coordination and communication.

You should be able to grasp complex technical topics and abstract key issues and risks into a useful form for executive management.

Optimally and consistently communicate overall program status.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Experience leading complex, multi-functional software projects.
• Engineering experience in any of the following or related areas : Computer Science, Software, Machine Learning, Systems Engineering, Embedded Software, Hardware Development, Computer Vision, etc.
• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering + 10 years relevant experience

Key Qualifications :

• Technical program management experience managing consumer-facing software programs.
• Serious consideration will be given to qualified candidates from computer vision fields with relevant software engineering, product development experience, and data science background.
• Previous experience with Hardware process and Embedded Software Systems is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of software development processes.
• Ability to dive into technical details in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and other algorithms.
• Comprehends and deals well with rapid changes and remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to influence, lead, and mitigate risks.
• Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.

Education & Experience :

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $160,700 and $282,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
• Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.

Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
