Design Center Manager Dallas, TX

The Design Studio Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our DFW Design Studio. This position collaborates closely with homebuyers to design their ideal homes and ensures the delivery of an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities :

• Manage design center operations within Monday to Friday business hours, ensuring adherence of policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Track all incoming design samples to verify condition and quality and liaise with vendors for product replacements.
• Maintain the design center’s inventory to ensure consistent availability of products.
• Oversee daily activities of design center staff, ensuring clear communication on processes, product knowledge, and conflict resolution.
• Guide design center staff with a focus on enhanced communication, deep product understanding, and effective problem-solving.
• Collaborate closely with construction, purchasing, and sales and marketing teams on model home designs, budgets, and installations.
• Collaborate closely with clients seeking higher-end products and spec levels to design their ideal homes.
• Strategically and effectively resolve conflicts to mitigate homebuyer issues and ensure an excellent customer experience.
• Conduct regular onsite visits to sales offices, fostering relationships with sales counselors, and actively participate in community kickoff meetings with operations.
• Strategically streamline processes to optimize option revenue and manage margins.
• Maintain industry knowledge on current products and emerging market trends.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, or equivalent field preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of previous design center experience, preferably within the new home construction industry.
• Must be available to work weekends, as it is a critical time for customer visits.
• Strong communication skills and comfortable communicating cross-functionally with internal and external business partners.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and deliverables in a dynamic environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.

Supervisory Responsibilities : This position has supervisory responsibilities and will lead a team of people.

Physical Requirements : This is primarily a sedentary position. May be required to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 25 pounds or less.

Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard. This position requires public contact; as such, appropriate business apparel and professional appearance is expected.

Travel Requirements : Travel is required for this position. A valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance is required at all times.
